MAHAGENCO EXAM

About MAHAGENCO

Mahagenco has the highest overall generation capacity and the highest thermal installed capacity amongst all the state power generation utilities in India. In terms of installed capacity, it is the second highest generation company after National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPCL). Mahagenco is the only State Utility having a very well balanced generation portfolio involving thermal, hydel& gas stations along with solar power plant. The first 500 MW plant to be installed in any State Utility belongs to Maharashtra.

MAHAGENCO Exam Pattern

Written exam will consist of Paper 1 & Paper 2 which will be multiple choice question having total 190 marks. Time duration for examination will be 2 hours & topic such as General Awareness and Reasoning will be asked in Paper 1. While in Paper 2 questions will be asked related to technical subjects consisting of 100 marks. Good news is that negative marking system is not applicable for current recruitment process.
• Question paper will be of multiple choice questions i.e. Objective Type.
• Total weightage of marks will be 190.
• Time duration of exam will be 2 hours.
• Entire question paper is divided into two parts i.e. Paper 1 & Paper 2.
• No negative marking system is here.
